LEADING IN HOUSING, SUPPORT AND RIGHTS FOR PEOPLE WITH LEARNING DISABILITIES

Do you want to live with a friend?

Two friends outside a home they share

Polly and Katharine have known each other since they were young. They both wanted to try out moving away from their family homes and decided to move in together.

They rent a house from a private landlord as they are only trying out independent living. They share their house with a support tenant who provides them with some support in exchange for free accommodation. They also get support from an organisation that supports people to learn independent living skills.
