Cinny

This page tells you about Cinny, who lives in a house she rents from a housing association.
Cinny photoCinny applied for a house on the council housing register. It is a two-bedroom house so that a carer can stay overnight.
Cinny photoCinny lived with her Mum until she was 30. She brought a questionaire home from her day service asking her about where she wanted to live. This is how Cinny’s Mum found out Cinny wanted her own place.
Cinny photoAt first, it was difficult getting the right staff. They used an agency. Some staff left and some were not very good. Now Cinny has a Direct Payment and employs her own staff. She can now choose the staff and it is better.
Cinny photoCinny is proud to have her own home. She is getting more and more independent. Cinny still goes to her day service and sees local friends . She is a talented artist.
